Georgina Sweet Early Career Researcher Physics/STEM Parents Award

• Eligibility

Available to female Early Career Researcher (ECR) parents in the area of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) employed at an Australian university who are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

• Purpose

The funds are to be used to support the ECR’s research however they wish (e.g. to attend conferences, travel for research and collaboration, etc). The award will be made as a one-off payment to the successful applicant.

• Application Guidelines

1. Prepare documents:

• A one-page (maximum) curriculum vitae

• A one-page (maximum) description of the recent research that will be supported by the AWARD funds

2. Prepare application form:

(a). Personal Information

    • If not, are you a permanent Australian resident? (Yes/No)

(c). Name and Contact Details of one Academic Referee

(d). Agreements

• • • If successful, I agree to supply a photograph to be used for publicity purposes

    • If successful, I agree to publication of my name, photograph

    • If successful, I agree to provide a report on how the funds were used by the end of 2025

    • If forced to change my initial plan through unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances, I will obtain prior written approval (via the email used to submit the application)
